A New Day Dawning

21st. December 2012 - A New Day Dawning - off Gran Canaria on the Azura

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate
. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you
. We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Beyond 2012

On 21st. December 2012, I was on board the Azura just off Gran Canaria, Canary Islands watching the rising sun shine its light on the mighty Atlantic Ocean. ..... I'd overlooked that fact we'd be away on the big day itself.  But surely I should be doing something more purposeful?  Wasn't 21st. December going to be one of those days?  You know the ones I mean; one of those 'where were you when days....' Heck didn't we all ought to be doing something special on a day like this...something I could pass on to the grandchildren with pride?

Mind you my mind did perk up just a bit when I remembered there are pyramids on the Canaries as well. Maybe just maybe we could find our way to them? Hmm, our guide in La Palma gave me short shrift, 'there's no such thing as a pyramid on this island!' whilst our trip across Tenerife took us across the island and away from the pyramids at Guimar there.  I have to admit to feeling a bit of a failure.  All that meditating throughout the year, only to fall at the final post!!! Poor Me!

Seeing ourselves

It took me a while to realise that everything was exactly as it should have been! I was exactly where I needed to be; at sea watching the dawning of another exquisite day, giving thanks for the beauty of our planet. What a gift.

How we see ourselves is perhaps the biggest lesson for this year, 2013. Do we have to do something special to prove ourselves.  Do we really have to pull out all the stops, move heaven and earth to get somewhere, or is everything really okay just the way it is? Or maybe we just have to trust and surrender to the natural ebb and flow of the Universe. It would be a lot easier.

Two different viewpoints

Two different viewpoints, one drive by fear and the ego, whilst the second is driven by a deeper understanding of our true essence, one that transcends time and space and moves on out into eternity. The heart of the matter is that we are all born out of unconditional love.

All God's children are uniquely talented and special.  We just have to come on home to that fact.  There is nothing we have to prove,, we just have to remember who we really are! When we try to run that extra mile feeling the need to prove ourselves, we are fuelled by ego's fear. When we let go, surrendering to the natural ebb and flow of the Universe we are working in partnership with our source essence. And its a magical partnership that really does work.

Celebration and co-operation

Wanting to be with like minded people to celebrate this life enhancing event is poles apart from having to be somewhere special just for the sake of it.  We are here to remember who we are, and to act upon it.  Why look out at a world so fearfully, when you have the potential to live and walk magically upon this earth plane purely by remembering who you are? There's nothing you have to do to feel complete, that seed is sown into your consciousness.  Yours is a journey of unfoldment, step by step, stage by stage, season by season. Allowing your essence to blossom here on earth in exactly the way it was intended.

A symphony

When fear dictates our actions, we separate ourselves out from the Universe and humanity at large.  Life becomes a struggle as we try to orchestrate events. When we allow the Universe to take us by the hand we see we all have unique talents to offer, which are rather like like pieces of a giant jigsaw puzzle coming together to raise the curtain on a new era.

When we allow the Universe to conduct or orchestrate the natural rhythms of our lives we will truly find ourselves exactly where we should be without all that unnecessary effort.  In my case it was watching a symphony of sun and water combining their magic to greet the dawning of a brand new era commencing 21st. December 2012.

Start today by acknowledging that you are exactly where you should be.  Affirm who you are, and that as a Child of God you have everything you need to create the world that we have all been dreaming about over many centuries of time.
